Making the best of an awkward space

Three times the size of their previous salon, S P Hair Co now has a greater working space and the opportunity to develop their business further. The interior design was crucial. It had to utilize an awkward shape and create an open, practical and friendly salon environment.

      

A clever use of space, natural tones and warm fresh woods give SP Hair Co a relaxed feel. The clean, light walls and flooring, and multiple light sources all add an airy brightness. The deep walnut wood of the bespoke mirror units and cabinetry softens and warms, and the angled styling stations and semi-partitioned areas, gives the salon a cozy, friendly ambiance.

      

Salon owner Sue Pickles enlisted the help of The Style Zone to help her achieve her ideal interior concept. Working together with designer Sarah Ann Smith, The Style Zone helped to create a layout and furniture package to suit Sue’s specific vision. This included sourcing two different but complementary styling chairs for the salon’s two main areas. In addition skilled joiners created the salon’s stunning bespoke mirror units and cabinetry, items that unquestionably define the essence of the salon’s character.
