The Style Zone proved a very valuable contact for a young entrepreneur, helping to light the way to a successful salon business.
Believing he knew the formula for a successful salon, non-hairdresser Sam Hepworth bought a flagging Bristol business. Although he had a design concept in mind, it was only after contacting The Style Zone however, that he was able to get the project started.
The long narrow salon needed light, so Sam was eager to have styling units with some sort of illumination. Although he searched countless salon furniture suppliers, he found nothing that suited his ideas. After a brief meeting however, The Style Zone soon had an understanding of the project. Within a short time they had created a new styling unit, the ‘Luminaire’ that addressed both Sam’s design and lighting needs. The backlit mirror of the dark framed unit is sand blasted to create panels of a defused light, while the gap between the frame and the wall allows light to seep out creating an overall luminescence. The Style Zone was also able to sandblast the mirror in such a way as to leave the intricate detail of the salon’s logo on the unit.
The Style Zone also designed and built an innovative aquarium unit. Housing a stunning tropical fish tank, this clever unit doubles as towel and product storage and acts as a partition to create a semi-secluded shampoo zone.
